About AF Corse USA

AF Corse is Ferrari's most important and successful customer racing team — the official Ferrari partner that has won more Le Mans GTE class victories than any other team. Based in Italy, AF Corse (the name comes from founder Amato Ferrari, no relation to Enzo Ferrari) operates Ferrari customer racing programs worldwide. AF Corse USA is their American arm, bringing the same standards of Ferrari GT racing excellence to the IMSA paddock.

The depth of AF Corse's relationship with Ferrari is hard to overstate. They are Ferrari's go-to team for the most prestigious endurance races, equipped with factory engineers, factory drivers, and direct access to Ferrari's development program at Maranello. Running under that banner in GTD means the #21 has access to the best Ferrari GT racing expertise in the world.

The Car: Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO

The Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO is Ferrari's current GT3 car — a technically sophisticated machine built around Ferrari's twin-turbocharged V6 engine from the 296 GTB road car. This represents Ferrari's evolution from naturally aspirated V8s to modern forced-induction technology, and the racing version retains the elegance and performance expected from a Ferrari while complying with GT3 regulations.

Ferrari's racing cars are among the most aesthetically striking in the field. The 296 GT3 EVO's sweeping curves, large rear wing, and iconic Ferrari red livery make it one of the most photogenic cars in the GTD class.

Iron Dames and Female Motorsport

The Iron Dames is a Ferrari-backed all-female endurance racing program that competes in the WEC (World Endurance Championship) and other international series. Sarah Bovy is one of its core drivers. The program actively develops female racing talent and gives women a pathway into top-level professional endurance racing. AF Corse's decision to include Bovy and Wadoux-Ducellier in the #21 lineup reflects the program's commitment to female driver development and representation at the sport's highest levels.

The Drivers

Simon Mann (USA) is an American gentleman driver and Ferrari customer racer who has competed at Le Mans and other major endurance events. His investment in the program enables AF Corse USA to field this Ferrari GT racing entry while supporting the female driver development mission.

Sarah Bovy (Belgium) is one of the world's top female professional racing drivers. A regular competitor with the Iron Dames program in the WEC, she also races in multiple other international GT championships. At this event, she is pulling double duty — also racing in the GTD Pro class in the #4 Corvette Z06 GT3.R with Corvette Racing. Racing in two different classes at the same event, in cars from different manufacturers (Ferrari and Corvette), is a remarkable achievement.

Lilou Wadoux-Ducellier (France) is a young French professional driver and member of Ferrari's Driver Academy — Ferrari's talent development program that nurtures young drivers toward factory roles in Ferrari's global GT racing program. Having a Ferrari academy driver in an AF Corse USA entry reflects the integration of Ferrari's development pipeline with their customer racing operations.

Sarah Bovy — Two Cars, Two Classes

Sarah Bovy drives both the #21 Ferrari (GTD) and the #4 Corvette (GTD Pro) at this event — two different cars, two different classes, two different teams. This double-duty schedule is demanding and uncommon, a testament to her professional status and physical fitness. See the #4 Corvette entry →
