About TDS Racing

TDS Racing is a French motorsport team with a strong heritage in prototype racing. The team has competed extensively in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and in IMSA, giving them transatlantic experience with the ORECA 07 LMP2 platform.

Their IMSA program brings European LMP2 expertise to Sebring — a track that demands very different setup characteristics from the smooth European circuits where TDS primarily operates. Adapting to Sebring's rough, bumpy concrete surface is a distinct technical challenge that rewards teams with experience and adaptability.

The Car: ORECA LMP2 07-Gibson

Like all 12 LMP2 entries, the #11 runs the spec ORECA 07 chassis powered by the Gibson 4.2L V8 producing approximately 420 horsepower. The car is an open-cockpit (no roof) prototype — visually similar to a Formula 1 car but wider, with large aerodynamic bodywork and a door for driver entry.

In the LMP2 class, all chassis are identical, which means team strategy, pit crew execution, tire management, and driver performance are the sole differentiators. TDS's European experience with this exact car — including Le Mans campaigns — gives them deep knowledge of how to manage the ORECA 07 over long stints.

The Drivers

Mathias Beche (Swiss, Silver) is the team's professional anchor — an experienced Swiss prototype driver who has raced at Le Mans multiple times. His job is to set the pace and bring the car home cleanly during his stints while managing the car's condition for his co-drivers.

Stefan Lutke Schipholt (Dutch, Bronze) is a gentleman driver who brings his passion and funding to the program. Bronze-rated drivers receive professional coaching and preparation to ensure they can compete safely and competitively alongside the professionals.

Mikkel Hansson (Danish, Silver) adds additional professional pace to the lineup, with Scandinavian motorsport pedigree that has produced many of Europe's top racing talents in recent years.

What to Watch For

TDS Racing will aim for a strong LMP2 class result, targeting a top-5 or podium finish. Watch for their pit stop execution and how well Beche manages traffic in the opening hours. If the team can stay in the lead group through the first 6 hours without incidents, they'll be in contention for the class win in the crucial final stint.

💡 LMP2 Class Note

Every LMP2 car uses the identical ORECA 07 chassis — there is no technical advantage to be gained from the car itself. The #11 TDS entry competes on equal mechanical footing with the 11 other LMP2 cars. Strategy, driver talent, and team execution are the only differentiators.
